1. Configuring your Protocol Templates

Pre-defining protocols within cycle types and associated action items adds efficiency to common or default actions for certain protocols, such as requesting consents, scheduling appointments or requesting testing. Configure and edit your protocol templates within your clinic settings.

Scroll to the bottom of this page for a full video walkthrough.

2. How it Works

Visit your clinic Settings → Operations → “Cycles”

  1. Review the pre-added templates for cycle protocols.

  2. Edit these as needed. Click the small arrow to the right of the cycle name → click on the cycle type → edit.

    • To delete or deactivate a cycle protocol within a cycle type, click on the three small dots to the right of the protocol name.

  3. Add a new pre-defined protocol by clicking “Add cycle type.” Click the small arrow to the right of the cycle name → click “Add protocol” → populate as relevant

    • Appointments: List default appointments associated with this protocol.

    • Medication: Indicate the medications administered as defaults with this cycle protocol.

    • Consents: Indicate which consents are needed as defaults in this cycle protocol.

    • Tests: Indicate which clinical tests are defaults in this cycle protocol, and their default timeline.

    • Automated Billing: List products or services that are billed by default for this protocol.

Adding action items like appointments and tests as indicated above will add ease to adding the indicated aspects of a cycle to a patient’s page.

Once a cycle is added to a patient’s profile, the associated default action items indicated in the protocol template will be added as reminders for you to action from to the patient’s cycle.

You can either action these items or remove them by clicking the small three dots to the right of the item’s name on the patient profile’s “Active cycle” tab.
