Configuring Appointment Type Groups

Use appointment type groups to ease scheduling and grouping of similar functionalities for your appointment variations.

You can create appointment type groups in order to streamline scheduling by identifying appointments that differ in name or time requirements, but that generally function in similar manners.

What are Appointment Type Groups used for?

Appointment type groups are used for configuring schedules which can then be applied to calendar scheduling templates.

How to configure Appointment Type Groups

  1. Visit your clinic settings

  2. Navigate to the "Appointment type groups" tab

    • View, edit, or add new appointment type groups from this tab

  3. Click "+ Add group" to create a new group

  4. Name the group, and add a color – these are what will appear on the calendar

  5. Use the Appointment Types dropdown to indicate the appointment type(s) that are relevant to this Appointment Type Group

Click ••• to the right of an appointment type group in order to edit or delete the group.

You will see the "Appointment Group Duration" which indicates the longest appointment time within this Appointment Type Group – this will be the default scheduling time period when put on the calendar.
