What this card shows
The Take home baby rate card shows what share of your treatment cycles went on to a live birth, month by month, using the month each cycle started.
Two solid lines give the rate, measured against two different denominators:
Per started cycle: every cycle that reached cycle day 1 counts, including cycles that were canceled along the way and cycles that never reached an embryo transfer. This is the broadest view of how a cohort of cycles ends up.
Per transferred cycle: only cycles with at least one embryo transfer count. This is closer to per-attempt success, because it excludes cycles that never got as far as a transfer.
Two dashed lines count the cycles from each month that are still waiting for an answer. Started, awaiting outcome counts every cycle in that month's group that is still active with no pregnancy test result and no outcome recorded. Transferred, awaiting outcome is the subset of those that had a transfer. They are counts of cycles, not percentages, and they sit on the right hand side of the chart.
Reading the card
Recent months read low, and that is expected. A birth is recorded many months after the cycle starts, because a full pregnancy follows the weeks of treatment that come before the transfer, so a cycle that began three months ago cannot yet have a live birth against it no matter how well it is going. In the picture above, the two rate lines fall away toward the recent months while the dashed awaiting-outcome counts rise. That is the same cohort seen from two sides: the months on the right are simply too young to have finished. Read the older months for performance and treat the newest two or three as incomplete. They fill in as time passes.
A few other things worth knowing:
A live birth counts once per cycle, however many babies arrive. Twins count as one, not two.
A cycle leaves the awaiting-outcome count as soon as any result is recorded, positive or negative. Recording a negative pregnancy test settles the cycle for this card even though there will never be a birth, and recording a positive one settles it even though the birth itself may be months away. So the dashed lines answer "how many cycles have no result of any kind yet", not "how many births are still to come".
The card counts cycles, not patients. A patient with two cycles in the window contributes two.
Monthly numbers at a single clinic can be small, especially once you narrow the filters. A handful of cycles either way moves the rate a long way, so read the shape of the trend rather than the month-to-month steps.

The card lives on the Medical director dashboard, on the Clinical success tab, and responds to the filters at the top:
Date: change the time window. It scopes by cycle start date, and defaults to the past 6 months plus the current month. Because of that lag, widening this filter to a year or more gives you a more settled picture.
Clinic: focus on one or more locations, if your organization has several.
Age at cycle start and BMI: narrow to a patient group.
Where this data comes from
Everything on this card comes from what is recorded on the Outcomes tab of the patient's Cycle page. The Add Outcome menu there offers hCG blood and hCG urine tests (hCG is the pregnancy hormone), fetal heartbeat, early outcome, and live birth. The Live Birth entry is what drives the two rate lines.
Each of those options opens a short form where you record the date and the result, then save it against the cycle. The Live Birth form is the one that feeds this card.
The card can only reflect what has been entered here. A birth that happened but was never recorded on the cycle reads as a cycle without one, and pulls the rate down. Long-lag outcomes are the easiest ones to lose track of, so a habit of returning to the cycle to record the birth is what keeps this card honest. The same applies to the dashed lines: a cycle sits in the awaiting-outcome count until someone records a result, so a cycle whose result was known but never entered will keep showing as pending.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Medical Director → Medical director. Select the Clinical success tab. The Take home baby rate card is at the top of it.
