1. Medication Billed Items in the wawa platform
Medication billed items allow you to automate the billing of medications dispensed to patients through wawa.
2. How it Works
Set up a billing product for the medication
Ensure the medication is configured within the platform
Visit the pharmacy tab → “+ Add medication” or edit pre-existing medication as needed
Add relevant variants to the medication
Select the relevant billing product for each variation – this will be what is billed for when that variant is dispensed
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of the medication on the “Inventory” section of the pharmacy tab
Dispense the medication via the “Dispense” section of the pharmacy tab – medication must be in-stock based on your logged inventory in order to dispense the medication
Once a medication is dispensed to a patient, the relevant cost will be linked to their account under “Charges/Billed for.”
