How do I set up an integration with and use a label printer?

Learn how to connect a Zebra ZD611/621/411, GK420 printers to allow printing directly from wawa.

You can connect your Zebra label printer directly with wawa in order to print labels for use in the clinic. Ensure you have the correct label material and printer type for the indicated use, and reach out to the wawa team if you have any questions on which to use.

The following instructions are related to a Zebra ZD611, ZD621, ZD411, or GK420 printer. Please reach out to the wawa team if you have any questions regarding the type of printer, and if you need additional configuration in relation to your label size.

How to configure and connect your printer

Unbox your printer

  1. Open the box in which your printer was sent

  2. Plug in the printer

  3. Turn on the printer

  4. Follow the instructions on the printer screen in order to complete the physical set up of the printer

    • Add the sticker and transfer reels into the printer following the instructions in the manual

    • Connect the printer to your wifi network, either using a bluetooth or hardwire connection

Connect your printer to your computer

  1. Visit the Zebra website

  2. Click on the relevant download per your computer type

  3. Enter your personal/demographic information

  4. Download the software installation application

    • Note: if the website and the above steps are not working on your computer, please reach out to the wawa team and we can provide further guidance and support

  5. Move the installation application into your applications folder

  6. Open the installation application

  7. Grant the installation application access to your device

Using the printer in wawa

Once you have followed the above mentioned steps, you are ready to use your printer in wawa.

To print Medication dispensing labels: click "print label" and select the relevant label printer.
