What this card shows
The Time between cycle milestones card shows how long cycles typically spend in each stage of treatment, month by month. Each line is the gap between two consecutive milestones:
Between aspiration and fertilization: egg retrieval to fertilization.
Between fertilization and transfer: fertilization to embryo transfer.
Between transfer and outcome: transfer to the first pregnancy test result.
Use it to see whether your stage timings are holding steady, and to set expectations with patients about how long each step usually takes.
Reading the card
Each point is the median number of days, not the average. Median is used so that a few mis-entered dates cannot drag a whole month off course.
Days are shown with sub-day precision, so a value of 0.5 means about half a day. Egg retrieval, fertilization and transfer are all timed to the hour, so these gaps are genuinely fractional. The pregnancy test is recorded as a date only, so the post-transfer line is precise to roughly the day.
Each month on the horizontal axis is the month the cycle started.

Negative gaps, where a milestone is dated before the one it follows, are excluded as data-entry errors.
The later stages rest on fewer cycles than the earlier ones, because fewer cycles have got that far or have their outcome recorded. Recent months in particular can sit on small numbers, so read a sharp move in the post-transfer line with that in mind.
Line colors match the corresponding stages on the Where are patients in their cycle card on the same tab, so the two read together.
The card lives on the Nursing & care team dashboard, on the Patient flow tab, and responds to the filters at the top:
Date: change the time window. It scopes by cycle start date, and defaults to the past 6 months plus the current month.
Clinic: focus on one or more locations, if your organization has several.
Age at cycle start and BMI: narrow to a patient group.
Where this data comes from
The lab milestones come from the Culture tab of the patient's Cycle page, where egg retrieval, fertilization and embryo transfer are each recorded with their date and time. The cycle's own start date is set on the Cycle page itself. The final milestone, the pregnancy test result, arrives with the patient's lab results.
Because every line here is the distance between two recorded timestamps, entering each milestone at the time it happens is what makes this card meaningful. A milestone entered days late shifts the gap on both sides of it.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Nursing & Care Team → Nursing & care team. Select the Patient flow tab. The Time between cycle milestones card is on it.
