1. Uploading and Storing Documents and Files in wawa

Make sure documents and files related to patients and their care are easily accessible and stored directly on their patient pages.

Patient files stored on the patient’s record are visible to you, and not the patient

Patients can see all files and documents that are visible to them in the “Documents” section of the Clinic tab on the app.

2. How it Works

Adding Documents and Files

There are multiple ways that documents and files can be added to and associated with a patient’s page.

  • From a patient’s page

    • From the left-hand menu: click “Upload file”

    • Using the command bar: summon the command bar (cmd + K or ctrl + K) and type “Upload file”

  • From the File tab of a patient’s page: click the “Upload files” button on the right

  • Consents completed in wawa: consents logged in wawa are automatically added

    • When consents become outdated or are replaced, they will update to be prefixed with “Obsolete”

  • Files shared in chats: files shared in the wawa chat are automatically added

  • Files uploaded by patients in the app: appear in your Files listed under “Uploaded by patients in app”

Viewing Documents and Files

Files from patients live on the patient’s profile. Click on the “Files from chat” and “Files” tabs on the left-hand menu of a patient’s page to view associated documents and files. Download files, remove files using the scissor icon, and create new folders as needed.

On the patient's end, patients can view documents from the chat saved in the "Documents" section within the clinic tab.
