In the wawa platform, if you want to block specific times from being booked by patients, you are able to do this using either internal meetings or editing your working hours.

Patients can independently book meetings via pre-paid booking links, and all available times for your clinicians will appear as available, unless you edit working hours or book another meeting/appointment.

Configuring your working hours prevents meetings from being booked during this time – both by patients and internal users.

You can also book an internal meeting for the times that you do not want to be bookable. For example, if Dr. Smith is going on vacation the 12th-14th of August, you can book three internal meetings for her, one for each full day. This will not block an internal user from booking an appointment during this time, but it will block patients from doing so. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the calendar

  2. “+ New Booking”

  3. Select internal meeting

  4. Add a title

  5. Indicate the blocked time

  6. Select the care team member for whom you would like to set up the block as the participant

  7. Repeat these steps for however many blocked days or time periods you need!
