CXE: embryo from a cycle, where X stands for the patient's relevant cycle number
CSE: cryostored embryos
CSS: cryostored semen

CSO: cryostored oocytes
CD: cryostorage device

OD: oocyte donation

ED: embryology embryo

EE: oocyte/embryo export

EA: embryology aspiration

AAE: admin-added embryo

When thawing embryos and oocytes it is possible to generate a new ID for the sample — this is set up so that the new cycle ID will be included in the updated ID. This is configured on the clinic level, by visiting your clinic settings > cycles > settings > where you will find two checkboxes using which you can indicate whether the sample ID should change as a result of a thaw event.

Note: the former ID will always be available for reference on the original cycle culture page, and on the cryostore record, if the sample IDs are configured to change.
