1. Oocyte and Embryo Culture View

Use the culture view of the active cycle tab to view and take action on samples.

2. How it Works

Navigate to the treatment cycle you wish to view from a patient’s page → Culture section

From here, you will see the patient’s (and their partner’s – if relevant) oocytes and embryos.

Materials

The Oocytes that are available for view on the Culture section are those that are connected to aspirations or thaws connected to the cycle, or information provided on the Gametes section.

Embryos are grouped separately from Oocytes, based upon sperm provider.

Clicking the checkbox next to each Material ID to take action as indicated by the buttons above the table:

  • Fertilize: fertilize the indicated oocyte(s) and indicate the sperm provider and processes used

  • Biopsy: indicate the biopsy and relevant laboratory information

  • Freeze: cryostore the sample and populate the pop-up with relevant cryo information

    • You will no longer be able to take action on this sample

  • Transfer: indicate which sample(s) is transferred, and populate relevant transfer information

    • You will no longer be able to take action on this sample

  • Share with Patient: once details such as fate, maturity, and development information has been added to materials, you can share this information with patients

    • Patients can view this information on the Clinic tab of the app under Embryo Development

  • Discard: mark embryos as discarded

    • You will no longer be able to take action on this sample

Scroll to the bottom of the page to add Embryology related notes.
