What this card shows
The Donor vs non-donor patients card splits your patient list into donors and non-donors and shows how many of each you have, as a ring chart.
It gives you a quick view of how much of your patient list is made up of donors, which is useful when planning donor recruitment or reviewing the balance of your caseload.
Reading the card
Each segment is labeled with its share of the patient list, and the total in the middle is your full patient count.
Hover over a segment to see the exact number of patients.
Every patient falls into one of the two segments. Anyone not recorded as a donor is counted as a non-donor, so the two figures always add up to your whole patient list.
Because an unset donor status is counted as non-donor, a donor whose record has not been marked as such will sit in the non-donor segment. If the donor figure looks lower than you expect, it is worth checking that donor status is being set on donor records.
Where this data comes from
This comes from the Donor status field on each patient's record. Open a patient, go to Patient information, and Donor status sits in the Identity section, below the name and date of birth fields.
Donor status can also be set when the patient is first created, and there is a separate Create Donor option on the Patients list for adding a donor directly. Changing a patient's donor status moves them between the two segments the next time the card is loaded.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports and select Patients, then Patient overview. The Donor vs non-donor patients card is on this dashboard.
