1. What are Information Packages?

Information Packages are packages of document(s) that are uploaded to the platform and linked to consent documents. You choose which documents to upload, how to title and describe them for your patient, and with which consents you would like to send an Information Package.

Sharing Information Packages with your patients allows for important information to be read and acknowledged as relevant to your patient’s treatment, and as required prior to signing consent documents.

Scroll to the bottom of this page for a full video walkthrough of Information Packages.

2. How do Information Packages Work?

Information Packages in the wawa platform are shared in accordance with consent documents.

Creating Information Packages in wawa:

  1. Create and configure Information Packages on the Information packages tab of your clinic settings

  2. Give your Information Package a title

  3. Attach documentation for the Information Package – give each document a title and a description to aid in patients’ review

Note: Once an Information Package is created it cannot be edited nor deleted. This is to ensure there is a stable record of the information to which patients have agreed when sending consent documents. A new Information Package must be created instead.

Sending Information Packages in wawa:

  • Link a consent and an Information Package by visiting the consent’s settings page and selecting the Information Package from the dropdown menu

  • When a consent is sent, any linked Information Packages are automatically shared with the patient – the patient will be unable to sign the consent until after the Information Package is reviewed on the consent’s page in the app

Note: Only one Information Package can be attached to each consent document, but Information Packages can contain multiple documents

Information Packages in the App:

  • Patients review Information Packages on the consent page – the Information Package is marked as ‘pending’ until a patient has reviewed it

  • Once an Information Package has been reviewed, a patient can sign the corresponding consent form

Patients can review their completed consent documents and their corresponding Information Packages within the documents tab of the app
