In wawa you can review consents as soon as patients (and any applicable partners) have signed the documents. Read below to learn how, and scroll to the bottom of the page for a video walkthrough!

You can trigger reviews either before a care team member signs, or after – but the patient(s) must always have signed before it is possible to initiative a review.

  1. Navigate to the consent document to review

    • You can either do this by visiting the patient's page → consents, or from the task overview page

  2. Click on the relevant consent – it will say "Pending review" if it is awaiting review from a care team member

    • You are able to review consents even if they are not assigned to you. You can reassign the task to review to yourself or another care team member, or simply start the review to reassign it!

  3. Add your review information

    • Accept – this will mark the consent as 'reviewed'

    • Requested Changes – this is the default option selected

      • You will have to add a comment in the yellow box detailing the changes requested

      • Requesting changes will send the consent back to the patient – their selections will still be populated, but they will be able to edit them in line with the requests, and they will have to add a new signature

      • Looking for the version from prior to requesting changes? Visit files → and look for the consent marked [OBSOLETE] if all signers (including care team) had signed it.

        • You can download this version then upload it manually via the Consent page, in case you requested changes in error

    • Voided – this will void a consent

  4. After the review is completed, it will no longer say 'pending' next to the consent

  5. The consent will be fully finalized once any relevant signers have completed the document, and once a review (if relevant) has been completed.
