1. Variables in the wawa platform

Variables add ease and speed to the creation of your notes and letters. When adding variables to your templates, you specify data to automatically get filled in when using that template.

2. Using Variables

Use variables when creating templates in order to automate the population of information from the patient, partner, or care team member profile(s).

  1. In your template creator, click on the “Variables” section on the right-hand side, and either scroll through or search for the relevant variable.

  2. Click on the variable to add it to the spot where you currently have clicked on the template.

    • Want to move the variable’s location? Re-click somewhere else and re-add the variable, or copy and paste the variable to the correct location.

  3. When sending the template, the information will auto-populate with the information available from the platform.

The “Partner: if exists?” Variable is used to easily hide or unhide the text within the variable based on whether or not a patient has a partner. To use this variable, add the variable to the template, and then edit the text between the two brackets, either “Patient does not have a current partner” or “Patient has a current partner” as needed.
