Note: You must have a prescription template set up. Please reach out to the wawa team to get this configured!

Configure your prescription settings in the clinic settings. Visit the "Digital signatures" tab > "Prescriptions" section. Here you can see the available prescription forms.

  • Choose whether the prescription is internal or external

  • Select who from your care team is able to sign the prescription

  • Indicate the forwarding to email and whether the signed prescription should be forwarded automatically or manually

  • Indicate the clinic(s) for which this prescription is relevant

How to Issue a Prescription

Issue new prescriptions to patients from the Prescriptions tab by clicking “+ New prescription”

  1. Select a patient, and link the medication to a treatment (if relevant)

  2. Indicate the prescription template and the signing clinician

  3. Add medication(s) to the prescription

  4. Write any additional instructions and additional recipient emails (if relevant)

  5. Send the prescription for signature to the signing clinician

View and filter prescriptions based on the signing clinician, the status, and the date of creation. You can also delete and download prescriptions from the prescription view page.

Note: Prescriptions cannot be edited once sent for signature.

Note: In order for clinicians to be able to sign prescriptions, they must be assigned to a Pharmacy role.
