What this card shows
The Appointment final status card shows the mix of appointment statuses at your clinic over time. Each month is drawn as a single full-height bar, split into colored segments so you can see what share of that month's appointments ended up in each status. Because every bar is scaled to 100%, the card is about proportions rather than raw counts: it answers "of the appointments this month, what proportion were marked as arrived, completed, cancelled, and so on?"
The statuses shown are the ones your clinic uses. wawa does not impose a fixed list, so the segments you see are the status labels your clinic has set up, exactly as staff recorded them on each appointment.
Reading the card
By default, the card shows the previous 12 months plus the current month.
Each bar is scaled to 100%, so segment height is a share of that month, not a count. A tall segment means a large proportion of that month's appointments carried that status, regardless of how busy the month was.
Hover over any segment to see the status name and the number of appointments behind it.
Appointments that were never given a status appear together as an Unknown segment. A large Unknown segment usually means statuses were not recorded for those appointments, not that anything went wrong.
The card lives on the Appointments Overview dashboard and responds to two of the filters at the top of it:
Date: change the time window.
Clinic: focus on one or more locations, if your organization has several.
Because each clinic defines its own status labels, comparing several clinics on one chart can be misleading: two clinics may use different words for the same thing. For a clean read, filter to one clinic at a time.
Where this data comes from
Appointment statuses are set by staff at the front desk. As a patient moves through their visit, whoever is managing the schedule updates the appointment's status from the front-desk queue, for example marking it as arrived, in progress, or completed.
The set of statuses available to choose from is configured per clinic under Settings. Each clinic can create and rename its own status labels, which is why the segments on the card differ from one clinic to another.
The card reflects whatever staff record. The more consistently appointments are moved through to a final status, the more the chart shows genuine outcomes rather than a large Unknown segment.
