1. Tasks and Uploads in the wawa platform

Use tasks and upload requests in wawa to share information and to-dos with your patients and care team members.

2. How it Works

Tasks can be sent to patients through either Blueprints – as described below – or by visiting a patient’s profile and quick-action selecting “Add task” or visiting the task tab from the left-hand menu.

Some platform actions can trigger task creation – for example when a consent document is sent or signed by a patient, a care team member will receive a task to review the consent.

Creating Tasks

Create a new task by visiting the “Tasks” tab of clinic settings. You can edit pre-existing tasks, or click “+ New task” to create a new task.

  1. Select the template type

    • Care team task: a task for your care team members to complete

    • Patient task: a task for a patient to complete

    • Upload request: a request for a patient to upload an item to the app

  2. Add a name and a description – this is what patients will see in the app

  3. Click “Save”

  4. Upload any attachments or videos as needed. For example, a task to review information about the clinic’s visitor policy, or review a video regarding common treatment questions.

Uploads

Upload request tasks allow you to send requests for patients to provide items such as an image of their ID, marriage certificate, or prior test results.

When a patient uploads a file through the app as an upload request, you will be able to view these files in the folder “Uploaded by patients in app” from the file tab of the patient’s profile.

Connecting to Blueprints

Connect a task to a Blueprint when configuring the Blueprint by selecting “Create a task,” selecting the task, and whether you would like the task to be assigned to the patient or their partner. When the blueprint is sent, the task will be sent to the patient/partner.
