Cryostorage devices are the items in which materials are cryopreserved – for example a vial or straw. In the wawa platform, these are indicated when you import a sample for cryopreservation.

How to Indicate and View Cryostorage Devices?

When adding a sample from the Cryostorage tab, you can indicate the device type under the “Storage devices” header.

  • Sperm: choose to add multiple devices if necessary for the sample

  • Oocytes: choose to add multiple devices if necessary, or connect other sample IDs to associated devices

  • Embryos: choose to add multiple devices if necessary, or connect other sample IDs to associated devices

You can also edit device information by navigating to the sample you would like to edit, clicking "Edit" on the bottom right, and then setting up the device information as you did initially.

Devices count Box

  • Type the number of devices needed in this box to automatically add more device fields

  • The Devices count must match the number of devices indicated – if adding device fields by clicking “+ Add device” this number must be changed manually
