In cases such as donor-split or egg-sharing treatment agreements, you are able to differentiate the donation status and destination on a device level within wawa.
This involves indicating the use status of the devices in the cryostorage record.
To indicate a donor split, use the following steps:
Locate the relevant cryostore record or create a new record
Click "Edit" on the samples for preexisting samples
OR Input this information directly when creating a new sample
Indicate the freeze purpose
Indicate the use status
For own use, use the status own use
For donation, use the status donation or donated to bank
Click "Save"
You will now see the donor split indicated on a per-device level. This allows you to view which device and individual gametes or embryos are intended for.
