What this card shows
The Cycles in planned status card shows a single number: how many treatment cycles are currently in planned status at your clinic. A planned cycle is one that has been set up but not yet moved into active treatment.
This counts every cycle marked as planned, whatever its start date. That includes cycles whose start date is still in the future and cycles whose start date has already passed but that have not yet been moved on. If you want only the cycles genuinely still ahead, see the Planned cycles not yet started card: the difference between the two is the number of overdue planned cycles that may need attention.
Reading the card
This is a current total, not a count over a time period, so it has no date filter. It always reflects the situation as of now.
A cycle joins this count when it is created in planned status, and leaves it once it is moved into active treatment, completed, or canceled.
The card lives on the Operations Dashboard and responds to one filter:
Clinic: focus on one or more locations, if your organization has several.
Where this data comes from
A cycle enters planned status when it is first created. On the patient's Cycle page, starting a new cycle opens a form where the treatment plan and expected start date are entered; the cycle begins life as planned.
A cycle stays in this count until staff move it on. Keeping cycle statuses current, so that planned cycles are moved into treatment when they begin, keeps this number meaningful.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Clinic operations → Operations Dashboard. The Cycles in planned status card is on the dashboard.
