What this card shows
The Cycles planned by month card shows how many planned cycles are due to start in each upcoming month, drawn as a line over time. It is a forward look at your treatment pipeline: how the workload is shaping up across the months ahead.
Each cycle counts toward the month of its planned start date, so the line reflects when cycles are expected to begin, not when they were entered.
Reading the card
By default, the card shows the current month plus the next 12 months, so it looks forward rather than back. This is deliberate: a planned cycle is one that has not started yet, so the useful view is the months still to come.
The current month is still in progress, and later months will keep filling as more cycles are planned.
Hover over any point on the line to see the exact number of cycles due to start that month.
The card lives on the Operations Dashboard. Because it looks forward while the rest of the dashboard looks back, it is not affected by the dashboard's Date filter; it keeps its own forward-looking window. It does respond to the Clinic filter, so you can focus on one or more locations if your organization has several.
Where this data comes from
A cycle is counted here once it is set up in planned status with a start date. On the patient's Cycle page, starting a new cycle opens a form where the treatment plan and expected start date are entered; that expected start date is the month the cycle appears under.
The more consistently cycles are set up in the platform with their expected start dates as they are planned, the more accurately this card reflects your clinic's upcoming workload.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Clinic operations → Operations Dashboard. The Cycles planned by month card is on the dashboard.
