What this card shows
The Cycles planned card shows how many planned cycles are due to start in each period ahead, drawn as a line over time. It is a forward look at your treatment pipeline: how the workload is shaping up across the weeks or months to come.
Each cycle counts toward the period of its planned start date, so the line reflects when cycles are expected to begin, not when they were entered.
Reading the card
The card sits on the forward-looking half of the dashboard and defaults to the current month plus the next 3 months. A planned cycle is one that has not started yet, so the useful view is the periods still to come.
The nearest periods fill up first. Later periods will keep filling as more cycles are planned, so a line that tails off toward the right is normal rather than a sign of a quiet spell ahead.
Hover over any point on the line to see the exact number of cycles due to start in that period.
The card lives on the Operations Dashboard and responds to the filters at the top of it:
Group by: switch between Month and Week.
Date range (future): change how far ahead you look. This is separate from Date range (past), which drives the backward-looking cards, so the two halves of the dashboard can be set independently.
Clinic: focus on one or more locations, if your organization has several.
Where this data comes from
A cycle is counted here once it is set up in planned status with a start date. On the patient's Cycle page, starting a new cycle opens a form where the treatment plan and expected start date are entered; that expected start date is the period the cycle appears under.
The more consistently cycles are set up in the platform with their expected start dates as they are planned, the more accurately this card reflects your clinic's upcoming workload.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Clinic operations → Operations Dashboard. The Cycles planned card is on the dashboard.
