What this card shows
The Embryos biopsied by month card counts how many embryos your laboratory biopsied for preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) each month, and how many of those are still with the genetics laboratory.
There are two lines:
Embryos biopsied: the month's workload.
Awaiting result: how many of them have no result entered yet, shown as a dotted line.
The card also carries an Awaiting result (%) column, which you can read by hovering a point. The pending figure is plotted as a count rather than a share so that both lines share one axis and can be compared directly.
Reading the card
This counts embryos, not biopsy requests. One request covers every embryo biopsied from a cycle, so this number is much larger than the request counts on the Procedure mix tab. The two are measuring different things and are not meant to match.
The Awaiting result line rising towards the right is normal. The most recent months are the ones whose results have not come back yet, and the line falls as they are entered.
Read the two lines together. A gap that stays wide in an older month is worth chasing: those are results that never got entered.

This chart draws one line for the whole laboratory, not one per practitioner. A busy laboratory has too many embryologists for a line each to be readable. To see one person's work, pick their name in the Embryologist (biopsy) filter; to compare several people at once, use the Embryologist summary table lower down the tab.
The card sits on the PGT KPIs dashboard, on the PGT outcomes tab, and responds to the filters at the top:
Biopsy date: the time window. It scopes by the date the biopsy request was raised, and starts on the past 6 months plus the current month.
Embryologist (biopsy): narrow to one practitioner.
Destination lab: the genetics laboratory the request was sent to for analysis. Laboratories do not all apply the same result definitions, so pick one to compare like with like; requests migrated from a previous system mostly carry no laboratory and drop out when you do.
Test types: keep only embryos whose request was sent for a particular test.
Clinic (patient's cycle location): focus on one or more of your locations.
Two things worth knowing about how the months and the clinic are decided:
Each embryo falls in the month its biopsy request was raised, not the month its result arrived. wawa does not record the date a result came back.
Clinic (patient's cycle location) is the clinic the patient's cycle belongs to, not the laboratory that carried out the biopsy. wawa records the laboratory a request was sent to for analysis, which is the Destination lab filter, but not which laboratory performed the biopsy itself.
Biopsy requests migrated from a previous system carry no embryologist. They are counted on this chart, but they disappear as soon as you pick a name in the Embryologist (biopsy) filter, so the total can drop by more than you expect.
Where this data comes from
Embryos are sent for biopsy from the Culture tab of the patient's Cycle page. Select the embryos you are sending and choose Biopsy, and wawa creates one request covering all of them. How many embryos you select is what this chart counts.
The request and its results then live on the biopsy record, where each embryo gets a row for the chromosomal status the genetics laboratory reports back.
An embryo with no chromosomal status yet is counted on the Awaiting result line, and drops off it as soon as the status is filled in.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Laboratory Performance - Biopsies/PGT → PGT KPIs. Select the PGT outcomes tab. The Embryos biopsied by month card is the top right of the four charts at the top of the tab.
