What this card shows
The Embryologist summary card gives one row per embryologist per month: how many embryos they biopsied, how the results came back, and the two rates calculated from them.
This is the card for comparing practitioners or running a monthly review. The charts above it answer one practitioner at a time through the Embryologist (biopsy) filter; this table answers all of them at once.
Each row carries:
Month and Embryologist (biopsy).
Embryos biopsied: the month's workload for that person.
Euploid, Combined mosaic, No result and Awaiting result: how the results came back.
No result rate (%) and Combined mosaic rate (%).
Reading the card
The two rates use different denominators, deliberately, and each matches the chart it sits below.
No result rate (%) is out of every embryo biopsied that month, including any still awaiting a result. A recent month's figure therefore starts low and rises as results arrive.
Combined mosaic rate (%) is out of embryos with a result returned only, because an embryo still awaiting its result cannot yet be called mosaic.
Read the Awaiting result count alongside both. A row with a large Awaiting result figure is an unfinished month, and both of its rates will move as the outstanding results land.
Combined mosaic means all three mosaic gradings added together: Mosaic, High level mosaic and Low level mosaic. The Ploidy mix by month chart higher up the tab is the card that keeps them apart.
Two more things to keep in mind when comparing people:
The counts are workload, not quality. An embryologist who biopsied five embryos in a month does not have a comparable rate to one who biopsied ninety.
Biopsy requests migrated from a previous system carry no embryologist and are grouped under Not recorded. They are still counted, so that row is real work with no name attached rather than an error.
The card sits on the PGT KPIs dashboard, on the PGT outcomes tab, and responds to the filters at the top:
Biopsy date: the time window. It scopes by the date the biopsy request was raised, and starts on the past 6 months plus the current month.
Embryologist (biopsy): narrow to one person or a few, if you want a shorter table.
Destination lab: the genetics laboratory the request was sent to for analysis. Laboratories do not all apply the same result definitions, so pick one to compare like with like; requests migrated from a previous system mostly carry no laboratory and drop out when you do.
Test types: keep only embryos whose request was sent for a particular test.
Clinic (patient's cycle location): focus on one or more of your locations.
Two things worth knowing about how the months and the clinic are decided:
Each embryo falls in the month its biopsy request was raised, not the month its result arrived. wawa does not record the date a result came back.
Clinic (patient's cycle location) is the clinic the patient's cycle belongs to, not the laboratory that carried out the biopsy. wawa records the laboratory a request was sent to for analysis, which is the Destination lab filter, but not which laboratory performed the biopsy itself.
Where this data comes from
The name on each row is the Embryologist recorded on the biopsy request, and the counts come from the Chromosomal status entered against each embryo on that request.
Setting the embryologist when the request is raised is what puts a month's work against the right person. A request left without one is counted under Not recorded and vanishes from the table as soon as anyone filters by name.
Opening this card
In wawa, open Insights from the sidebar, then go to Standard Reports → Laboratory Performance - Biopsies/PGT → PGT KPIs. Select the PGT outcomes tab. The Embryologist summary table sits below the four charts, above the Biopsy results table.
