1. Non-Medication Billed Items in wawa
Using Billed Items in wawa allows you to bill patients for products and services they utilise within your clinic.
2. How it Works
Configure the products and services for which you will be billing patients under the “Price lists” tab of your clinic Settings. More information about configuring price lists can be found here.
Charging Patients for Products and Services
Through Automated Calendar Billing
Add automation to your billing of patients for products and services associated with appointment types.
Visit your clinic Settings page
Visit the “Appointment Types” tab
Click on the appointment type to which you wish to add automated charging
Scroll to the bottom of the appointment type page to the “Automated billing” section
Add the products you wish to be billed to a patient automatically in association with the given appointment type
Click “Save.” These billed items will now be automatically applied to a patient’s profile when the appointment type is booked.
Through the Patient Profile
You can bill for individual Billed Items directly from the patient’s page.
Visit the page of the patient to whom you wish to bill for a product or service
Click “Bill product” on the left-hand menu
Add information about the product, date, and quantity for which you wish to bill, and click “Create log” to add the bill to the patient’s profile
Through Cycle Configurations
You can automatically add Billed Items for patients based on the cycle types they are undergoing.
Visit your clinic Settings page
Visit the “Cycles” tab
Edit the cycle protocols for which you would like to add automated billing

Add the products and services for which you would like to automatically bill in relation to cycles under the “Automated Billing” tab
Click “Save.” Now, when you start a cycle of this type for a patient, these Billed Items will be automatically applied.
Viewing and Invoicing for Billed Items
View all Billed Items for the Clinic
To view all Billed for the Clinic, click on the “Finance” tab of the left-hand menu. Click on the “Charges/Billed for” tab on the left-hand menu.
Here you can view and navigate to the associated patient page and invoice – if an invoice has been linked to the Billed Item already – in addition to the date of the Billed Item, and the item and quantity associated with the Billed Item.
View all Billed Items for a Patient
To view Billed Items as related to one patient, visit the patient’s profile and navigate to “Charges/Billed for” from the left-hand menu.
To invoice for billed items, you can either click Invoice all or select certain Billed Items for which you wish to create or connect an invoice and select Invoice selected.
